New Zealand Chinese Association (Auckland Branch) Inc

NZCA BASKETBALL TRIALS !

– New Zealand Chinese Association (NZCA) Auckland will host the 64th annual NZCA Sports and Cultural Tournament during Easter 2012 in Auckland.

Our apologies for the short notice but we will be running our second trial for the MU17 Basketball this Sunday 04 Dec 2011 at 1.30 to 3.00pm at the ACCC Hall on Taylor Road, Mangere.

Due to this trial time there will be no WU17 or Vets this Sunday 04 Dec 2011 at 1.30pm. But the ACC Hall will be available for U17/Vets scrimmage games after 3.00pm.

Our 1st trial was in September and we still have the list of attendees.

If you are not able to attend this trial or did not attend the 1st trial in September please forward your contact details to:

Note that you must be under 17 on 01 Jan 2012 to qualify for the MU17.

Please remember to:

Be early.  Preferably 30 mins before.

Be ready to play at 1.30pm

Bring a drink bottle.

Bring a dark and a white coloured playing top.

There are MU21 trials that same day at St Kents from 2.00 to 4.00pm.  If you intend on playing both grades and think you have a chance of getting into the MU17A team then we suggest you attend the MU17 trial as a priority.

Once team training starts in early 2012, it is likely that the MU17 training will be at the ACCC Hall and the MU21 training will be at St Kents at roughly the same times.   This is to be confirmed later.

YOUTH LEADERSHIP CAMP - Registration form

NZCA Auckland Inc  - Youth Leadership Camp – December 9-11 2011

NZCA Auckland Inc is proud to launch a new initiative – being the Youth Leadership Camp to be held at Camp Adair, Hunua on 9-11 December 2011. The camp is open to all college students aged between 14 and 17 [1] and promotes team building, motivational and leadership skills – and identity with the Chinese community.

This initiative follows closely on the success of the NZCA Leadership and Development Conference, Future Dragonz and the China Winter Camp.

The camp is timed for after completion of secondary school examinations and provides an opportunity for all like-minded NZ Chinese youth to meet, greet and collaborate and share this great experience.

The working group committee has been established and planning towards this key date is underway.

Keep following the NZCA Newsletter for further updates and spread the word amongst your friends, family and wider network.
